For safety reasons, 95 percent of structural aircraft components are machined from whole parts. This means very long milling times. The new Bavius machine has therefore been designed for maximum productivity. The new, more powerful FISCHER high-performance spindle with up to 30,000 rpm and an output of up to 140 kW operates in the milling head. It enables cutting rates of up to 20.6 l/min in S6 mode and up to 16.7 l/min in S1 mode for cost-optimized milling.
